Guidebook : Ski Zones

Lake Louise Resort Slack/Sidecountry
Slate Range - Alberta - Canada
Banff National Park

The backcountry areas that can be accessed by using the resort lifts is highly varied and should keep most skiers busy for several seasons. Many of the prized objectives here are big alpine lines that even rival the steep lines inbound lines the resort is known for. Do remember though that these are truly backcountry areas, there are no ski patrol nor are the areas avalanche controlled. Although you are allowed to travel within the resort without a lift ticket you may not use the lifts or go into closed and/or restricted areas within the resort. For more information on this please contact Lake Louise Resort directly.
