Guidebook : Ski Zones

Copper Bowl
Ball Range - Alberta - Canada
Banff National Park

With both steep and low angle runs facing every aspect you'd be hard pressed not to find something to ski within this zone. Once at the base of the main bowl feature you are no further than a couple of kms from the start of any of the main runs avaliable. The smaller unnamed subpeaks offer great opportunities for easy turns when the snow is questionable and when everything lines up the north facing bowls from the summit ridge provide steep and committing lines.

GR835750 (Redearth Creek Trailhead)
GR766708 (drainage heading north into Co)
GR757721 (forest camp area)

Park at the Redearth Creek parking lot on the eastbound side of highway 1. Ski up the cross country ski trail for about 9.5km where you will find a drainage to the north. If you end up at the fork for Pharaoh Creek Trail you have gone about 1km too far. Head up the easy to follow drainage for about 1.5km and 350m of vertical where the drainage will spilt. If you want even access to all the runs within the area than this makes for a great sheltered camping spot. All runs described start from this area.
