This far southern ridge line area of Crystal Ridge provides some good skiing options at tree line. One of the more popular lines being the burnt tree area on the south west aspect but there are several other options found out of sight from the highway as well. Generally you find less tracks here than other ski zones on the Icefield Parkway due to the slightly longer approach.
The area below the burn was once called Crowfoot Glades which is now the name for the tree skiing looker's left of the Crowfoot Glacier.Ski Zone Access Info: [?]

Park at the Crowfoot Glacier viewpoint along the Icefield Parkway. Cross the highway and skin up the closed parking lot for the summer trail to Lake Helen. Follow the summer trail for about 3km where you will be under an area of burnt trees. Another 0.5km and you will find the cut trail will fade away as you come out onto the ridgeline. All routes start from this location.
